QSE Coordinator

  • £28.000 – £30.000/annum

The Industrial Work Solutions are looking to recruit a QSE Coordinator for one of their major clients in the Blackburn area.

The Role is to help to manage the quality, health & Safety and environmental systems operated by the company

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To ensure that our Quality Management System conforms to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Internal Auditing
  • To act as representative in dealings with our Certification body.
  • Ensure the effective maintenance of the quality procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure systems are in place to meet customer needs for HACCP and hygiene requirements for production.


  • Be aware of current legislation governing health and safety at work.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the company health and safety policy.
  • Co-ordinate risk assessments and issue Permits-to-Work.
  • Carry out weekly site inspections.


  • Effluent monitoring and testing, to ensure it complies with the sites Discharge Consent.
  • Liaise with Environment Agency Inspector on their annual inspection visit.
  • Ensure the company meets the requirements of the PPC Permit, including regular site inspections.
  • Assist with waste management on site.
  • Assist the QSE Manager and Factory Manager in any other tasks as necessary.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills.
  • High level of competency and accuracy in writing and maintain clear and professional documentation.
  • Self-starter – able to do work individually and across all departments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Approaches work with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
