25Ha employment scheme at Roman Way

Barnfield Group and HBD submitted plans for a new development including 800.000sq ft of warehouse and industrial space near the existing Roman Way Industrial Estate.

The site will benefit from excellent transport links, being located only 1.6 miles from the M6 and will help to ease the shortage of the warehousing and industrial infrastructure in the region.

First construction work might begin later this year if approved by Preston City Council

Tracy Clavell-Bate, head of development for Barnfield Group said: ” It is great to get the site to the planning stage – it hasn’t been without it’s challenges but we are sure with it being a natural extension to the existing Roman Way site which is fully occupied that the development will be very successful if the planning is granted”.

Since the planning stage a number of of specialist technicians and consultants were performing thorough site assessments, preparing it for the planned construction works.

The construction works will start later this year if approved by Preston City Council.
