Operation Support Manager

Our Client specialise in design engineering, fabrication, supply, and installation of structural steelwork, plants, and bespoke projects. They pride themselves in fabricating conveyors, crushers and structural work for UK quarries and across Europe.
They are currently looking for an Operations Support Manager, with a background in Engineering Sales or Account Management, to work mainly in the North East of England and Scotland area. The successful candidate will be required to travel on a daily basis with overnight stays as and when required.
Key responsibilities:
- Sales visits to existing customer sites
- Sales visits to new customer sites to gain new business
- Pricing customer jobs to quotation level
- Sales of Flexco products through our dealership
- Identify product trends/requirements for your area and report to the business
- Creating strong business relationships with customers
- Logging all activity and reporting on a weekly basis
- Arranging hire equipment required for customer sites
- Official hand over to customer when site works completed
- Assisting with documentation required onsite
- Undertaking occasional site supervision
- Producing of RAMS for site works when required
- Follow up sales visit from site inspection reports
Basic requirement’s:
- Computer literate and able to use the Microsoft package
- Have a background in the steel and quarry industry (preferable)
- Have an engineering background/qualification or similar
- Ability to communicate confidently, both written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Problem solving skills
- Full UK driving license
